ANALYZER

Select ‘Analyzer’ from the top menu.

Select how many periods you would like to view from the pull down menu. When you select 4 period, for example, the Analyzer will include 4 weeks starting from the date shown (in this case, July 17, 2004).

Then select and check what you would like to analyze: Positive, Improving, Negative, and/or Dropping in the Analysis. Then specify the threshold percentage. The default set up is at 25%. Therefore, anything above 125% of the behavior points is considered Positive and anything below 75 % of the points is considered Negative. If the threshold is set at 0%, when a child gets a behavior 100% (or more) of the time, that behavior is considered positive. And anything below 100% of the time is considered negative. So when the Analysis shows more negative than positive, please check the threshold percentage to make sure it is not set too high. Improving and Dropping threshold is calculated from your child’s performance of the set weeks. Therefore, one option would be to set the Positive threshold low and adjust the threshold for the Improving and Dropping.

Once you have set all preferences, click the “Analyze” icon. The program will incorporate the values collected from the History section and analyze the data. The analyzed data should show whether the member’s behaviors are above or below your family’s set expectations and whether the member’s behaviors are improving or dropping by the percentage selected. The analysis also gives Suggestions such as “Consider Removing”, “Talk over with child”, or if an expected behavior is constantly not met, the suggestion will let the parents know to pay more attention to that specific behavior. This is helpful for parents to view how the child is doing over time and to evaluate set behaviors.
