TRACKING BEHAVIORS

There are two ways to track behaviors with hotspots: 1.) Double click on the cell to automatically track the hotspot or, 2.) Click once on the cell for options to attach a note or edit the behaviors point value.

Automatically Tracking Behaviors

1. Double click on a behavior and the intersecting date.

2. The hotspot will automatically appear with the set behavior point value.

Automatically Tracking Expected Behavior for the Week

This can only be done in the Point Sheet and only with Expected Behaviors. This method will track a hotspot for every expected day of the week for Expected Behaviors.

1. The far, right hand side of the Point Sheet shows totals of tracked behaviors.  If you would like to track hotspots for every expected day, double click on the Expected Behaviors ‘Total’ to automatically add hotspots.

2. A hotspot will appear for each expected date (shaded in pink) for the Expected Behavior. Again, this can only be done in the Point Worksheet for Expected Behaviors.

Creating Specific Information for Tracked Behaviors

1.  To attach a specific note or change the point value of a behavior, click once on the behavior and date to track.

2.      The Enter Behavior dialogue box appears with options to edit the point value or attach a note.

3.  A change in the point value and any attached notes will appear for the tracked behavior. The attached notes can also be read in a balloon by placing the mouse over the hotspot. When there are more than one hotspots tracked for the same behavior and date, any attached notes will not fit. The notes can only be read by placing your mouse over the hotspot.

Tracking Multiple Hotspots in the Same Cell

When tracking behaviors that occurred more than once, there are two options to accomplish this: 1.) Track one hotspot and edit it's point value to reflect the multiple occurrences or, 2.) Track an individual hotspot for each occurrence for the behavior and date. Multiple hotspots can be tracked by any of the methods above, with the exception of using the Expected Behaviors ‘Total’. If there is more than one hotspot tracked in a cell, the point value in the right hand corner will adjust, and any specific notes can only be read by placing the mouse over the specific hotspot.
